A thoughtful renovation of a Grade II listed English country house, with parts of the estate recorded in the Domesday Book. The interiors balance the remarkable history and architectural character of the house with a relaxed, contemporary approach to country living.

The scheme was developed around the qualities already present — exposed timber beams, aged brickwork, original details and traditional proportions — with a warm, earthy palette of muted greens, soft neutrals and natural tones.

Antique pieces sit alongside bespoke furniture and simpler contemporary forms, while linen, wool, timber and woven textures bring warmth and depth. Each room has its own character, but a restrained approach to colour, material and craftsmanship creates a natural sense of continuity throughout the house.

The result is a home that feels rooted in its history without becoming formal: comfortable, quietly elegant and designed for modern life.
